Airdrie Children’s Festival
Less than a 10-minute drive from Chinook Gate, on May 25 and 26 you will find exciting children’s entertainment and more in Nose Creek Park. From a very fun Children’s Village playground to accelerated learning at Inspiration Stations, families will love learning, dancing and exploring at this local festival.
Started by Airdrie parents who want to provide all children the opportunity to be curious and aspirational, this independent festival is free to attend thanks to local businesses who support it. Aimed at kids aged 4-12, this event offers a wide range of activities for families in all stages of life, including volunteer opportunities for your teenage kids as well.
Enjoy exciting workshops in subjects like writing, dance, coding and so much more, designed specifically to engage specific age groups and get kids excited about new hobbies and skills. Jump into an Inspiration Station, where kids can learn through play and talk face-to-face with career role models like biologists, architects or teachers.
Chinook Gate builder partner, McKee Homes is sponsoring the festival’s Fun Run on May 26 at 8am. After a stretching exercise, mosey, meander, jog or skip 2 km through Nose Creek Park. Registration is free, but all those who register will receive fun prizes, so be sure to register before attending.
